Kanye is such a bad MC, its astonishing that anyone can listen to him. Its got to be the catchy production that pulls people in. If people actually listened to the Lyrics they might realize he is as big of a prick in his songs as he is in real life.

Kanye is AWESOME … just ask him. I am sure he can give you a list of reasons. Here is just another example of his endless self-love.

Just after Michael Jackson’s tragic passing, Kanye saw his opportunity to crown himself the King of Pop. (Note: Elizabeth Taylor named Jackson the King of Pop, not Michael.)

Here is Kanye’s statement made to Scrape TV:

“You know everyone loves and respects Michael, but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone, but it makes a path for a new King of Pop, and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales respect, so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King.”

“First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century, it’s Kanye’s time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael, but someone needs to pick up where he left off, and there’s nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop.”

He has even asked the Jackson family to allow him to use the title. They have not responded.

Kanye later made a statement on his blog stating her never made those comments.

That caused Scrape TV to release a response:

“Though we will make no aspersions on Mr. West’s comments, we do stand behind our story and our editorial principles and want to ensure that no one, not celebrity nor politician, is able to alter the truth out of some sense of regret or self-rapprochement. Such abuses speak to the very heart of free speech and the nature of an open society.”

Jackson’s music is timeless and will live on forever. People young and old, from all walks of life, loved his music. His death crashed Google, and he sold 2.3 million albums in the three weeks following his death … because he is still the King of Pop.

A big thank you goes out to Kanye for clearing things up! We always knew you weren’t HIP-HOP. Stick to the POP. Hip-hop is for real MCs.

The preshow started with Kayne mad pissed that he didn’t get to open the show, with a train-wreck Britney Spears earning that spot. He did perform that night, but he was relegated to one of the suites at the Palms Hotel & Casino. The “Louis Vuitton Don” was nominated for 5 awards and scored zero Moonmen. For the real hip-hop heads who realized Auto-Tune died with 2pac,  this was a great moment in music.

Backstage at the show, Kanye went off.

“F*** MTV. Y’all heard what the f*** I said… Five nominations. I f***in’ lost to Black Eyed Peas last year, man. I’m never coming to MTV. Y’all find Britney. Get Britney. Get a real f***in’ artist. Get Britney Spears. I ain’t f***in’ with this pop sh**. Goddamn. Give me a f***in’ chance. Give a black man a chance. I’m tryin’ hard. I got the f***in’ #1 record. I’m tryin’ man. I don’t even get a f***in’ chance. They don’t want a f***in’ black man in that position.”
